Fw: Sunday June 28 ride

Hi all,

This is my proposal for this Sunday June 28 ride:

I think the weather WON"T be too hot (in the 80s) to ride Rist Canyon

Long option: Start at Vic's at 7:30 a.m.
Short Option: Drive to Carter Lake - Meet and Start at Carter Lake (Marina's shop) at  9:30 a.m.

Please, let me know if and which option you like to join, so I can plan accordingly.

  Ciao
  Luisa

Thursday ride from Jenny's

I must admit that ride up Four Mile, over Poorman is a nice little evening ride.  Plus it's pretty short.  I'll be getting ready to leave Friday  morning to go see my daughter, Karen, in Seattle so short will be good.   If you want to join me, be here at 1935 Grove St at 6 p.m.!

Ride Report:....

Looking dubiously up at the black sky overhead, three of us rode bravely into gale force winds up Four Mile Canyon.  David Coombs laughed at the idea of bringing a raincoat, ...this was nothing compared with being at 26,000 feet in the Himalayas.  Toria hoped to hide under her camelback.  She was the sleeper of the ride, claiming to only have ridden twice this season.  Ha!  She used to race mountain bikes and we know that racer spirit never dies.  OK, we did get rained on a tad on the way down, but it was quite the fun ride!  See you next Thursday!

Tonightt 6 p.m. Four Mile Canyon /Poor Man

The votes are in!  Four Mile Canyon it is.  We'll take the bike path west to Four Mile and up over Poor Man with a fast descent back into town on Sunshine.   This ride is about an hour if you just do the loop, but if you want to do some intervals, just go up and down Poor Man 2 or 3 times and that should be a good workout.  The road was recently graded and is in good shape (last time I was up there, anyway).  If it's raining, or looking very imminent, don't come to my house unless you just want a cup of tea.  ;  )

Fw: Thursday rides

Jeremy and I went riding up Four Mile, over Poor Man and down Sunshine.  Nice ride.  While I sweated up Poor Man, he rode it 1.5 times for his dose of interval training.  Yes, men are invited to meet her and ride!  We can always split up;  everyone can ride at the pace they want, with the people who ride their speed.  My house is just a nice central meeting place and there will always be someone to ride with...me!

6 p.m. rides from Jenny's changed to Thursdays at 6 p.m.

Meet at Jenny's, 1935 Grove Street, at 6 p.m. every Thursday if you want to ride with at least one person!  Usuals are Four Mile Canyon (Poor Man or not, depending on if people like dirt or not), Cherryvale/Marshall, Eldorado Springs, 63rd-Neva loop, etc.)  Main thing is that I don't go to the Diagonal or 36!  I plan to do this weekly, and will try to post the day before if I do not plan to go.

Regular Tuesday rides starting from my house

I plan to ride every Tuesday night, weather permitting, leaving my house at 6 p.m.   I am happy to ride the Poorman loop, Marshall-Cherryvale-Eldorado Springs loop, Neva Loop, or just about anything else.  So, just show up if you want to join me by 6 p.m!  I live at 1935 Grove Street in central Boulder.  I think most of you have been here, but if not, just mapquest it.  We can at least start together and if you want to power on off, that's cool, too.  (If for some reason, I cannot go a particular night, I will try to send out an email the night before.)  303-868-0530

Sunday B Ride

Hello all,

I am willing to lead a "B" ride for this Sunday March 1.
 Vic's at 10:00 a.m.
Duration: 4 hours (I always give options for shorter route)

Route: According to the wind and actual temperature:
Bismark Loop + Ncar (short option : Loop back when we get to Marshall)
or Carter Lake if windy (shorter route : small box)

Note: Since Meeting notes have not been sent out yet, I just briefly explain that we decided to hold
2 types of rides on Sundays. They are not divided by gender rather by Cycling Ability, mainly PACE
Type "A" for faster pace to meet needs and expectation of riders who are stronger, faster and train to compete
Type "B" for moderate pace (16-20 mph) yet long ride: it will always be provided options for shorter route.

I always hope to see many of you ....

 Ciao
 Luisa
